In 2005 I completed my MA in screenwriting at Bournemouth University (Skillset Accredited) and have since won commissions from Screen South's Digital Shorts scheme and the Arts Council in Brighton - the latest of which is due to premier at the 2008 Brighton Fringe festival. All of my work is developed through workshop with actors and often stand-up or open mic poetry readings.
Olivia is in-house Producer at ROK Motion, an award winning London production company producing content for all screens: music videos, short films, virals, commercials and specialising in innovative interactive services.
Her interest in social and community events led to working on various film festivals such as Talent Circle Super Shorts, EmeregeandSee, Birds Eye View and The Latin American Film Festival. The culmination of which led to the creation of the Canary Wharf Film Festival, which she launched as Festival Director in 2007. CWFF?s success has established itself as an annual event, bringing short film to new audiences.
The importance of live experiences and audience interactivity has seen her take on most recently, The Red Restaurant. She intends to produce this film installation with live performance again for a wider audience to London and beyond.
Her own influences stem from her work in the world of magazines and lie within the every day and observational. Film: Lucas Moodysson, Pedro Almodovar. Video & Installation: John Smith, Isaac Julien. Photography: Martin Parr.
