The Red Restaurant

Jo Shaw - Director

Jo Shaw is a Film Installation Artist, Vocalist and Production Designer.

She studied Digital Media Arts and her interests and motivations are predominantly based around the fascination of experiencing Film and the cinema space itself. What it is to be a viewer or performer, exploring the audiences involvement with the narrative.

These themes also manifest themselves in her art design work - dressing unique events and fantastic film sets. She was commissioned by the Arts Council to create The Red Restaurant and is co-founder of Screen Deep

Ben Pester - Writer

Ben Pester currently makes a living writing creative copy for online and print as well as, much more excitingly, writing storylines, game mechanics, dialogue and screenplay for video games, mostly on PS3.

He also writes short films and longer plays for performance with mixed-media - having written both Red Restaurant performances.

Current projects include The Cleaner, an English Foreign Horror - to be shot in Spain and UK as co-production.

He is also a founding member of the Blind Collective, making short films collaboratively, without seeing any other component (footage, music, actors) until the whole has been edited.

He's also finishing his first novel.
